no chocolate

Well, I went to my GP, and discovered I don't need to follow my "no salt" diet, my hypertension is no longer a issue (yay!) but what troubles me now is I have irritable bowel syndrome, and for 10 days I cannot eat dairy products (my stomach has to reorganise itself first). From now on I have to be careful of what I eat (bye for now, my sweet chocolates) (●ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ●)ﾉﾟ

Changing the subject, I'm considering to buy tickets for the Hobbit movie now while I can! the 26 of december is the release date... like a late christmas present! (*´・ｖ・)

 

kraaaaaaaaaft

I loooove kraft paper. The only bad thing I find about using it is the no-resistance with water; that means I cannot use watercolors as I would like to (个_个)

 

I'm always looking for cheap kraft papers, and the other day (while in Ikea) I found this kind of wrapping paper that works like a common kraft except one side is smooth (like silk <(*ΦωΦ*)> ). I also liked the stripes.

The roll was only 2 dollars and immediatly I imagined thousands of drawings! in the end I came home with 3 rolls and a giant smile on my face (ﾉﾟ▽ﾟ)ﾉ

(I also brought a roll of paper designed for kids that didn't say anything about crazy moms buying this stuff for themselves).

marie chinese paint

I bought these in the Dollar King store, and thought they were like watercolors but the result was like a mix between gouache and watercolors. Not that I mind, I like how they look: a little thick but if you add more water the thickness is gone!

What I didn't like was  two of the tubes were damaged (；¬д¬) , didn't realize this because they were sealed. Back at home I used some little paint containers (I think they are for pre schoolers) and poured some of the paint.

These paints were veeeery cheap, so in the end there are no complains at all (￣(ｴ)￣)ﾉ

Last month we moved out to our own apartment, yey!! The first days were absolutely mad and surrounded by cardboard boxes opened. We (my husband and I) sold our souls to Ikea, who ate all of our saved money! （ｉДｉ）

But I'm happy here ⊂((・▽・))⊃  
and my family is happy too.

Funny thing is, I was really happy drawing this, like singing tralalala and all that, watching "Julie and Julia" (that movie makes me hungry 〜(￣△￣〜) I don't know why...).

Game of thrones

Going to watch the entire second season of Game of Thrones. I did the same thing last year when I  returned to my home country and my mom say: "OMG!! you have to see this show!!1!1!" (yep, my mom was excited like that); aaand as a result I finished to watch season one in two nights (or three, not sure) after I put my son into bed and was soundly asleep I could spend hours biting my nails. At the end of every episode I was saying (as loud as I could considering my son was in the next bed) WHAAAAAAATT!!!!!! (((( ;°Д°))))

And because I hate cliffhangers in movies and tv shows I waited till every episode of this season were available online. Good bye to the world!! see you later! and I will not cheer for ANY character because most probably will die at the end of the show/episode  (︶︹︺) 

Speaking of things that excite me filmically  I saw the trailer for the Rurouni Kenshin movie!! 

I want to watch it!

no salt at all

I want my freedom!, to eat salt whenever I want!

Or maybe not...

Some days ago I went to the doc and discovered I have high blood pressure (and it was not a surprise, my granma had it, my mother has it...), so he told me "no salt for the next 6 weeks, until we found out if you need medicine"  bububuh... ｡･ﾟﾟ･(>д<;)･ﾟﾟ･｡

but I have to think is for my own good health, I'm a mom, and I think that adds a little more responsibility from my part. And having headaches and feeling kind of dizzy is not good at all.

The godmother of the elder sister went to the forest, and  picked some magic leaves to make a special concoction for them.

This is the first of a couple of drawings of a little story I'm making: "That year", about a series of events that happened to a village ("happy" things, I cannot draw sad things, they make me sad too -.-' ) where these little people lives. 

Speaking of something completely different I saw the first images of Lee Pace in the Hobbit movie production, but still not in the elf costume! >:( 

well I'll have to wait a little more ...uhhfff.

Fishtails

Ok, since the scanner doesn't want to cooperate I'm taking photos of my drawings...
Since a looong time I wanted to learn how to make fishtales, but since my hair its shorter and with many layers its almost impossible for me to follow a tutorial and actually complete the process!
Speaking of tutorials, I've watched a couple on youtube about cutting your own bangs, because I don't want to spend money for such little amount of hair... so, I've tried some tips and voilà, my hair its perfect (at least to my own eyes -.- ).

Ulrika (from Ulicam) makes super incredible things with her hair, check this!

 I haven't seen snow for so long...

These cold days are perfect for getting sore throats and colds!! aaaatchuuu!!
Taking some antibotics and feeling down at the begining of the week, but not for so long, today I'm going to watch "BRAVE" with my husband, and have a sort-of date this afternoon, happyyyyy :)

Sure I'll look like a polar bear with all my scarfs and sweaters and trench coat.... I hope they let polar bears go to movies...

Gifts from may

I'm really frustated with the scanner in this house, so for now just pics of my (really) old drawings. When I move to my new house and start to buy furniture and etc. then I'll get a really good scanner (or at least a better one).
Maybe I just should take photos of them in the meantime.

Well, I don't care Wildwood is a book for kids, just looking at the illustration I fell in love with it.
Aaaaaand The lord of the rings, all the 3 books in one plus all the appendices (I haven't read those before, in the spanish edition I owned the only appendix published was the one with the story of Aragorn and Arwen). Reaaaally happy about that one, because I left my copies in Chile, those were in spanish.
Reading now in english its kind of hard... I'm still struggling talking and listening and reading this language.

Other gifts: a notebook from Morning Glory, a scarf and a wallet.

Fan

Her son is a Ravenclaw fan. He has read all the Harry Potter books and decided that was the house he wanted to belong.
So, because he was a good boy bear, mama bear knit a scarf with the house's colors just for him.

Mother's day is soon!! I'm excited :) my little son doesn't grasp the idea yet, but my husband does, and that means my favourite breakfast in bed and pizza for lunch and gifts!! it feels like my birthday *siiigh*
The only bad thing is I can't go see my mum give her a big hug, because we live in different continents... A phone call and a skype session its the only way to say to her how I love her and hope she spends a really nice day.

....not really, lately I've playing Sacred 2, a RPG game, with my husband, and oh gosh its so addictive!!!
ok I should calm down... its been a while since I played anything on the computer, at first I used to play those little  facebook games, but now I find them kind of annoying.

I try to play it without my little son watching (there are some gore) but its very difficult, for example if he is watching some movie I sneak very quietly to the dinning room, open the laptop and turn off the volume, hehehe.

All the years surfing the internet had led me to this...
I have tons of pics in my hard drive, and in usb, cds etcetc. I like to have them because I love to look at pretty pictures, they are (kind of) my source of inspiration.
But I'm not sure how to "preserve" them if something happens (like an evil virus, or my little son little hands spetially designed for scratch cds) sooo I made a tumblr.
Oh yes, at least the are safe for now, all together in the ciber space. I'm slooowly putting them in Lilac wood, so take a look if you want.

So, I'm Australia right now, living with my husband (yay! now I can hug him) and my son in a lovely town in NSW.

BUT (yes there is always a but kids!) one of my bag was is missing, The one with aaaall my kid's toys (his christmas presents, OMG).
You can imagine my face when I found out Qantas has lost my baggage after a flight of 17 hours with a toddler; and, of course, they say "we are doing every possible effort to return my bag" ha-ha, yes, sure, its been a month without a solution for my problem..... *sigh*

Despite my loss of important things (hey, its a bag of 19 kilos) I'm happy, finally I can be with my husband (no more skype "weird-hour" calls!) and start my new life!.
